About Ends
I threw away my youth today.
I thrust the papers, books and all, all dull and dusty into a box.
That familiar scribble, scrawled out in a rush; those luminated phrases,
I firmly put them away.
As I closed the box, I tucked away two precious, golden years of my life.
It was not without sorrow, but there was relief.
Ended too soon, but at last(!) the end.
And so continues the relentless flow of time.
